My Philips DVD 711 will no longer power up. The fuse inside is fine, so is the cable. Anyone had tis happen before?

A lot of electronic devices use a solonoid (relay) to pull in the contactors. I've had PC monitors do the same even though the "power light" would come on. If it's your voltage regulator, it may be time to use your that warrenty.
