WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –– A shooting at a Roman Catholic high school left one person injured Wednesday, police said. One person was in custody.

No one was killed at Bishop Neumann High School, according to a Williamsport police official who did not give his name.

Police did not immediately release more information. Calls to the high school were not answered.

A female student was being evaluated at Williamsport Hospital, spokeswoman Linda Campbell said. The patient's status was not immediately available.

The school, which enrolls about 230 students in grades 7 through 12, is in central Pennsylvania, about 160 miles west of Philadelphia.

The shooting came two days after a teen-ager opened fire with a pistol in a school in Santee, Calif., killing two people and injuring 13.

I hate to say it, but I can't get the Boomtown Rat's song "I Don't Like Mondays" out of my head.
