I have been researching "Easter" and found connections to the Passover--release of the slaves, the plagues of Egypt, etc. The Egyptains were great record keepers; however, it seems like the plagues were not well documented. Do any of you have sources that outlines what was happening in the "rest" of the world during this time period? I am interested in the point of view from Eygptain (Afrikan) perspective.

Hello. I am glad I found this board. If you will allow it I will join in for a while. I have a Bible that lists archeological discoveries important to the Middle East. One is the Amarna letters, which were discovered in Tell el Amarna 200 miles south of Cairo in 1886. They are a collection of stone tablets with Cuneiform writing. Most of it is diplomatic letters between Egypt and the cities of Caanan. They give a picture of Caanan at the time of Joshua's invasion. One from the governor of Ursalim tells Pharo Amenophis the 4th that the Habiru people were over running many cities and could not be stopped. I hope someone finds this information useful.

Hotep (Peace), Thanks for the resource! What is the name of this bible translation? Cuneiform...now that's interesting as it predates hieroglyphics. Does it (the resource) give a timetable as well?

This Bible is an old study Bible in New American Standard. It is called the Open Bible. There is no time line but there are many study notes. One of the sections is on archaeology that tells of many discoveries that are important to our understanding of the times.
