Noticed Clarky saying there were very few postings on here on Sunday. Also N & B's site aint updated.

I think one problem could be the over crowding of the internet on a Sunday. I can't get on using by Freeserve accounts as thery are constantly engaged. My other account is also very hard to long onto. I tried for three hours to get a good conection this morning. It's getting ridiculous. All the new users in the UK are really slowing things down.

You may have a point Rik - I couldn't get any service at all from the Telewest ISP this morning, although my more costly alternate, Supanet, was fine.

A number of providers are now offering low-cost internet service for off-peak connection only - evenings and weekends - so perhaps this is taking its toll.

I've certainly noticed a deterioration in download speeds in the evenings and weekends in recent months, which used to be much better than during the day. Mornings now seem to the best.

Well, this BBS insn't too bad for me - just the occasional slowness. But perhaps that is because the machine is actually in the US. On the other hand my feed from Radio 3 (is that a confession or what!) keeps cutting out so I suspect its a case of the Atlantic Connection or "Backward Britain" (would this do as an election slogan - it doesn't have to be true.)

Freeserve canbe a pain but I just keep banging and eventually I get on. Just signed up for BT/Freeserve Surftime - got to get value haven't I.

I've been signed up to Freeserve/BT Surftime for a while now and don't often have problems getting onto the system, my problem on Sundays particularly, is getting onto the PC at all. Can't move the kids off for love nor money half the time!
