hi i have a problem. in my laptop i have win98. i can play all cds, like enciclopedias, dictionary, music cd. but i can not play video cds, where i have a movie. my computer does not recoganize video it detects, only audio. in a cdrom of 600 MB movie, it detects only 44 bytes, as an audio file. can u help me.

Answers

Windows does not play VCD directly. There are two ways you can do this: Method 1: 1) browse the CD, go to the MPEGAV subfolder 2) right click on the .DAT file, then open it with MPLAYER (Windows media player). The MPEG movie will be played on your screen

Method 2: Install Sthsvcd software on your laptop. It will play your VCD as soon as you insert the CD in. This is the best way.
