I have to write a 2 page essay on how Edgar allan poe uses a "unreliable narrator" in tell-tale heart. Please tell me information disscussing details from the story which identify the speaker as untrustworthy. Also supply evidence in the story to support your claimsd.How does the use of an "unreliable narrator" contribute to the meaning/effect of the story. Well, the narrator in the The Tell-Tale Heart was very unreliable. he tries to deny that he is a madman, but as the story progresses, he actually proves that he is crazy through his actions. Only a madman would kill an old man he loves because his eye creeps him out.
