Packing up ready to move out of my thatched cottage (c1380, oak floors, beams, inglenook, etc - usual twee shite) and move into a council flat for 6 months. Long story. No doubt I'll be crying like a bairn when I leave. I REALLY need an away win to keep me this side of clinical depression. Come on lads!!

Short drive to Toffeland tomorrow and then a longer drive back to God's Own Country on Sat night/Sunday.

Watching Rugby on Saturday followed by a night out in Northampton.

Sunday, golf depending on the weather.

Trying to combine running around after 15 screaming 4 year-olds dressed as pirates and princesses (daughter's birthday party) whilst surreptitiously keeping track of the football.

No idea. Doing the grocery shopping after work tonight cause there are predictions of a "big" snowstorm for Sunday night/Monday meaning the stores will be full of panic shoppers in addition to the regular weekend hordes tomorrow and Sunday. Of course after all the panic buying we probably won't have a cloud in the sky. Tomorrow, listen to the webcast, clean the apt, then watch the US v Brazil friendly. Sunday, sit back and laugh as Maryland panics in anticipation of the 'storm'. ;-)

Always wondered what people actually do with all the bread and milk they seem compelled to buy in bulk every time a storm is predicted. ;-)

Nothing serious I hope, Dougal...

-- Anonymous, March 02, 2001

No sign of an e-mail Dougal, hope to goodness you are okay. Don't worry about Sunday, Dr Bill kindly agreed to stand in if you aren't able to make it because of the trains. Look after yourself now.

Softie, I think it's hotmail because I e mailed a mate hours ago and she says she hasn't had it yet. It is partly a trains issue and I was going to ask whether , if the shit hit the fan, Bill could be a proxy. However, I have pretty much admitted defeat and think I'll accept a little stay in hospital. Bill knows what the trouble is andwill tell you what's up. I'm so sorry, Softie as I wouldn't miss Sunday for the world.

Ahhh the weekend. It's down 6th St tonight for some rock and roll.
Tomorrow will be a day out to San Antonio (got to do the tourist bit ... see the Alamo). Just possible I may eat some Mexican food and hit some tequila.
Sunday will be hot and sunny so I'll probably have a relaxing game of golf.... and of course take in some drinking and eating.
Monday night will be back down 6th St for blue's night at Antone's.... John McVey WILL be playing this time!

Life is tough aint it?

ITK - that wasn't your car that went "bang" yesterday was it?

-- Anonymous, March 04, 2001

Just realised - it was more than the bonnet which got blown up.

-- Anonymous, March 04, 2001

Thankfully I wasn't working this weekend so missed out on all the 'excitement' - see what damage is done tomorrow morning.

Monday see start of my last 'full' week of employment at that place......leaving on thursday week (15th) - if the kind of thing that happened last night is now gonna be a regular event, I reckon I'm leaving just on bliddy time!
