An answer on the left

in 1993, Kevin Keegan bought in an ex-united favorite who had about two years left at the highest level. Although in the twilight of his career he remained the most skillful in his position in the country. Beardo went on to help our U21 England striker to be the most expensive in the premiership.

Could a Frenchman who is out of favour do the same for our U21 England striker?

What an interesting thought Dave - way to creative for the Toon hierachy these days.

If he could picked up on a FT, it would certainly be worth a shot, even for one season, but would he come back?

Je ne sais pas. 2B honest, I'm not sure if (a) he's up to it these days and (b) he could be @rsed. But if anybody could get him going, I'd have thought YBR might. Now howay Clarky, he's one of your old flying marras isn't he, if I remember correctly.

I'm becoming less and less convinced of YBR's ability to "get them going" over the last few weeks.

That's why I said "might"! Bliddy hell, this fence is making my @rse sore. Mebbes I should jump down ;-)

Yup I did rub thighs with him on the 6:30pm from CDG-NCL one evening Screacher - nice fella, for a frog that is.

I agree he is a little over the hill, but he is highly intelligent man, and as a FT squad player who could play the occasional 60 minutes, and work to impart some silky skills to the young 'uns - something that isn't encouraged enough IMO - he might be worth considering for a season or two.

However - he woudln't be interested in coming back to the cold, unsophisticated NE, and the Toon would never even consider how someone like this could be beneficially used in a dual capacity - so, just put it down to a really creative idea by DLF that will never see the light of day.

Just 'cos he turned you down fo r the autograph Clarky..........

.............anyway, hopw many games will we play in Lahndaan next season? Six at least. I reckon if he played in all of those, it would still be more than Farcelino will put in over the whole of this season. Horses for courses, eh??

I didn't realise there were 6 Lahndan teams in Div 1.

I'm depressed :-((

I've come back to this three times, trying to pluck up the courage to admit that the very sheltered life I lead leaves me with nee idea what you lot are on about, but if this out of favour Frenchman is Daveed, I'd go for it. :-))

Shock, horror PB. Spot on, je pense.

-- Anonymous, March 02, 2001

Not sure he'd want to come back with the stick he gets from the Toon Army.

He couldn't handle Griffin marking him out of every training session.

Just read Bobby Lees Autobio. Berrisford was told to shut by KK when he complained re Daveeds lack of covering. When somebody gives the team what he did the others have to cover for him.

DG on a FT - yep that'd do but it won't happen. Gregory has too much pride to give hime away.
