I think neither, is that possible?

My partner *just* commented last night that I was the most self- confident person he ever saw. But not in an egomaniacal way. Does that count?

I hear ya, Katie...

I'm not as bad as I was, say in high school...but I'm still pretty bad about receiving compliments. If someone says I look pretty, I get suspicious. It pisses people off, but I can't help it. I am VERY self-conscious about the way I look, and actually go out of my way to avoid mirrors whenever I can. I know it's crazy, but it's part of who I am.

I'm very confident and think quite highly from myself; I'm highly narcissistic.. But I really think I'm just being realistic, because, for example, I think very highly of my intellect (as do other people, so it's not just me..heh..) but I think my appearance is pretty average, not especially attractive (nor especially unattractive), and I recognise that I'm not a very creative person. So I think for the most part I just observe my abilities and base my opinion on them on that rather than my emotional

"me? an egomaniac? pishposh! i suppose i use to be conceited, but now i'm perfect."

definetly the latter. i sort of run away from everyones compliments and then wonder why no one compliments me. aggh...

i'll let you be the judge..

i take a gazillion quikcam pictures. but. i snear at compliments from my boyfriend.

but i am definately confident enough to carry a pink hello kitty mermaid purse. i think that takes guts.

I'd go with the last one, too. I'm mostly an egomaniac in terms of wanting people to see my site and wanting to be recognised; wanting compliments on my talents, but yet, then when I don't get these things I say I'm a horrible, uncreative, untalented hack who no one wants to talk to or look at. yeah, I at least can admit I have a pretty face on a good day. I've confuzzled myself.

Yeah, I hate myself.

"Confuzzled"...hey, I like that! I think it's going to be my word for the week..."People, you confuzzle me." Hehe...thanks, Amber :-)
