Xpedior CFO sees bleak future by Amanda L. Milligan • March 20, 2001 Following its Tuesday announcement of another round of layoffs, a seemingly inevitable delisting of company stock, office closings, senior management defections, credit line defaults and drained cash reserves, Chicago-based Internet consultancy Xpedior Inc. put itself on a death watch.

The ailing company, which is now approaching one-third the size it was during the second quarter last year, said it would be closing unprofitable operations in New York, San Jose, Denver and Dallas.

It's also laying off 300 employees or 42% of its overall workforce. About 20 administrative positions are being eliminated in Xpedior's Chicago corporate headquarters, but its separate Chicago and New Hampshire consultancy operations are not affected by the downsizing.
