Here you are, VCD autoLaunch on PC!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi friends,

Maybe this information will help for you who wants to make VCD autoplay in PC.

Well it's not actually autoplay, but it's automatically launch the inner program vcd player then you just have to click "PLAY".

Below is only my experiment on CD Rewriteable, please if you're not sure - don't do this as I'm not responsible of what you did concerning my information below if your PC get something wrong.

1. Put "Win" folder contains - Libvip.dll - Vpplays.sys - Vpplays.exe

2. Put "Mpegav" folder contains small .dat file (Avseq01.dat) after being encoded from .mpg to .dat with VCD Gear.

3. Put "VCD" folder contains : - Entries.vcd - Info.vcd - Lot.vcd - Psd.vcd

4. Put AUTORUN.INF file contains following commands: [AUTORUN] OPEN=WIN\vpplays.exe

If you're really curious, but don't have No 1 and No 3, you can e-mail me direct to my e-mail address, and I'll send you those 2 folders and their contains via e-mail attachement. (approx 700 Kb)

Please don't ask me whether it'll work on CD-R or not. I haven't tried it yet, maybe later.

Hope this will be helpful.

Regards, Sunar.

Also check my web site .. details on how to make an "autostart" VCD that should work in any Windows system with Media player. This also does not alter the playback capability in a regular stand alone CDR capable DVD player so the disc works in both worlds.

Sunar I bought a CD which requires a vpplays.exe. I had read the article you had posted in the greenspun forum and I was delighted to know that you were willing to extend help to anyone who wanted vpplays.exe related files. I humbly request you to mail the files vpplays.exe, vpplays.sys and libvip.dll to the following mail address: vijay_alex@hotmail.com . I would be most grateful if you could send the files at the earliest. I await your favourable reply. Thanking you...... yours sincerely.......VJ
