Grant, I will thank you for the concern on Mums behalf, as I doubt she will have much time to post over the next few days/weeks.

For those of you who haven't heard, unfortunately Mum lost her Father yesterday morning. As I'm sure anyone who has ever suffered the loss of a loved one will realise, it is a heartbreaking time for all of us, but particularly devestating for her. I will pass everyones condolences to her and I have no doubt she will be to chat to everyone, in time.

It's never easy to take, whatever age and whether expected or not, so send her my condolences. I lost my father a couple of years ago, when he was 60. It wasn't unexpected as he had motor neurone, but it was all much quicker than we were prepared for...

I don't post very often Galaxy but I wanted to pass on my sympathy. It was only when my dad died that I realised the importance of condolence cards and people's support at this truly awful time.

Gus - you`re very welcome - both to the book and to a visit. But I don`t need two year`s notice, the `welcome` mat is always out.

I guessed Yelli might have to explain the serious lack of `senior moments` on the BBS. The fact that I am such a `family` person must also have been abundantly clear. My Father was and always will be the jewel in the family crown.

I am truly moved by your condolences - as I`ve said so many times, what wonderful people you are.

So much more I`d like to say, but I have some really grown up stuff to do this week and time is at a premium. I`ll probably do more rambling on the genealogy thread when I`m slightly more in kilter.

Must just also wish Sting a safe journey - I`m looking forward to hearing all your news.

And to Softie and Nicola - hope young Robert`s Christening goes well and is the happiest of days. (:o)
