How's Dubya doing?

Ok, 2 days of what I consider positives for GW. Yesterday the Florida Herald said GW would have won even if the questionable votes were tallied. Tonight George made what I consider a really good speech in front of Congress.

Here's the question. Do you feel he is more "Presidential" in your eyes or is he still "President Select"?

Do you think his tax cut is good or bad and why? If bad would you be willing to give me your share of the tax cut? ;)

This joke says it best for me. G.W. Bush is a post turtle.... While suturing a laceration on the hand of a 90 year old man (caught in a gate while working his cattle) the doctor and the old man discussed Bush's health care reform ideas.

The old man said "Well, ya know, old Bush is a post turtle".

Not knowing what he meant the doctor asked him "What in the hell is a post turtle"?

"Well, when you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top and legs treading air, that's a post turtle. You know damn well he didn't get there by himself, he doesn't belong there, he can't get anything done while he's up there, and you just want to help the poor fella get down."

Yeah, yeah, I've heard that one. You didn't answer my question. Can I have your share of the tax cut?

You're not rich, Don. You don't get a tax cut.

To quote another great Republican president, "there you go again". Riddle me this Batman. Who pays the lion's share of taxes? The richest of the population pays by far the most in taxes. Do you think a person should be punished for doing good?

That's one of things that amazes me the most about Democrats. They are really close to Communists when it comes to people's money. They believe the rich should subsidize the poor. I on the other hand believe people who are smart enough to get ahead shouldn't be punished. I'm actually in Forbes camp and support a 10% tax rate across the board if there has to be an income tax.

So once again I have to ask. Are you going to give me your tax cut? Or do you think John Kennedy was wrong when he said the people needed a tax cut? You can't have it both ways. (well, knowing Chuck he'll figure out a way to have it both ways)

By the way, under Bush's plan I will get a tax cut and so will ALL the people who live in Valley Glen who currently pay taxes. Make your check out to Donald L. Lafferty.
