I was thinking it would be very cool to have some form of computer avaliable to the teams. It would act like the "brain" part of the lego mindstorm. This would let the challenges branch out into a myriad of robot projects, ie, everything that has been done could now be done autonomously. Plus you could do cool projects like build a little car that has to find its way to a point on a football field, or fight the other team's robot.

The teams could either program the thing themselves or you could have the program ready for them. Mind the work load if they program it themselves. Maybe add an extra person to the team. As for the computer hardware, I'm sure there are zillions of amateurs out there who would design it for you (hint hint ;-)
