In the mineral breakdown of Carbonic Acid that we did in class Monday, I am confused as to where the 3 came from in H CO ? 2 3 How is it that CO + H O make a 3 on H CO ? 2 2 2 3 I thought I had it figured out myself, but it is really confusing and I lost it! Could someone please explain this to me. Thank you

carbonic acid is made up of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water(H2O).If you add them you'll see there is two hydrogens, one carbon, and three oxygen (H2CO3).
