Is it just me, or does the economy seem to be sliding into the crapper as the government and media fixate on Clinton's pardons and contributions?

Cherri showed us that the flap over "Robbing the White House" was overblown. Why are these things under so much scrutiny? Is it some kind of "news" that a campaign contribution buys a favor? Isn't that what has made the system work, for Dems as well as Repubs, since its inception?

I guess its just me.

The economy had been going down the toilet since early last year.

"The economy had been going down the toilet since early last year."

That's because they knew Dumbya was coming to screw it up, so they bailed out early.

The rate of personal and business debt accumulation foretold this current slide, and that happened well before last year. It's got nothing to do with Bush or Clinton (beyond the fact that Clinton should have stressed higher savings levels, and lesser debt levels among consumers and businesses).
