The blind lad dumped on the streets by a North Shields taxi driver.

This is a story that hasn't made the news yet, I'm still trying to get a few more details before I spread it around. What I can say is that it is a true story and something needs to be done.

It has vague links to NUFC in that the night started off at a pub in North Shields where the cousin of Shay Given was holding an engagement party with his fiancé Dawn. Shay was expected at the party but possibly due to the poor result chose not to show up.

After the party the guests went back to Dawns mothers house in Marden estate(North Shields) . At around 4.00 in the morning, taxis were called to take some of the remaining guests home. One of the guests , a blind lad around 20 years old got into a North Shields central Taxi and asked to be taken home to Walker in the East End of Newcastle. The driver, asked for directions to the lads house , but as he was blind, couldn't give him any . The driver promptly stopped his cab and insisted that the lad got out. The lad was completly stuck and roamed the streets in tears before he remembered that he luckliy had a mobile phone with him. He phoned his friends at the party, who came out and searched the estate eventually finding him.

This could have been a very serious incident. The Taxi driver to my knowledge is still driving the streets of Tyneside and the company CENTRAL TAXIS, have so far not made any comment on the incident.
