Injury problems mount

Robson says it may take three weeks for everyone to get fit. In three weeks time we could be further down the league. We can't even call upon Stuart Green can we?

Adversity Bobby, you've been brought up on it and it's time for the players finally to show their true colours. Other teams have injury problems and they get through it. We will get through it!! Bring on Everton, we can't moan to them about injuries!

Bobby Robson has admitted his club is in the grips of an injury crisis, with Kieron Dyer the latest midfielder facing a spell on the sidelines. He has warned that the end is not yet in sight. The Newcastle boss claimed, in the wake of Newcastle's 1-0 home defeat to relegation strugglers Manchester City, that not one of his midfielders was fully fit.

he admitted that not one of his midfielders was fully fit.So why didn't he call on Glass and Gavilan?

From the IC Toon site, Robson has apparently been warned by specialists that Dyer may have played his last game for us this season, due to his continual shin problems. Looks like we've finally managed to thrash him like we did with Shearer, piss poor management, despite all the other injury problems we've had, is it any wonder? What the f##k is going on?

What with Solano pissing off to Peru for a game in March it seems we will be without Speed, Dyer, Solano and Acuna for the Everton game. Looks like he may HAVE to play Gavilan and Glass!

However Robson said: "Clarence was only 80 per cent fit because of an Achilles tendon problem but he said he would play to help us out because we were so sort in midfield."

What a joke, who's next on the thrashing list.

If true, this Dyer injury situation is the last straw - there is definitely something seriously wrong with the medical support to this Club. It is an absolute joke, and we look like a bunch of amateurs.

Surely it is so bloody obvious that the club have done something about it.

As I've said before I think they should dismiss the medical team and hire new staff, just to bring a fresh approach and a bit of luck perhaps/ It's going to cost us far more than their severance pay and the new salaries if we don't do something about it.

The Ronnie may of course be wrong, but they're talking again about the injury being shin splints, which was categorically stated NOT to be the problem several weeks ago.
I'd like to know what Witch Doctor it is that is treating Dyer - clearly not a very good one.

I've just read the two articles related to medical appointments at football clubs, and injury rates in football. Both articles were mentioned last month on here, and appear in the February edition of the British Journal of Sports Medicine. I'll give a summary soon, but the results relating to club doctors included:

1. Only 6 clubs have full-time doctors working with them. 2. Only 3 doctors had a job interview with an interview panel that included a doctor. In all cases the doctor present was the retiring club doctor who was no doubt appointed using the same technique. 3. Only 9 doctors have a sports medicine qualification!

Does anyone know anything about the NUFC medical staff? If anyone can find out any information indicating no specific sports medicine qualifications etc, I'll write a letter to bobby robson with my concerns.

I realise that this isn't the sort of thing that we want to hear, but...the guy next to me at the match plays golf with Paul Ferris and claims Ferris told him that Cort would be lucky to play again, and he wasn't talking about this season.

Could be cack but.......

Someone else told me precisely the same story at the weekend - quoting the same source, Paul Ferris.

Career over at 23? Poor sod .

Right, who can we get with the seven million insurance money?

Maybe Big Dunc will come back?

No hat, no coat, no taxi...I'll just run away.....quickish like! ;-)

If anything comes of this I think we should keep the name of Paul Ferris quiet, poor guy could lose his job over leaking info like this, you never know who's lurking and earwiging in the background, shiffing for exclusive stories.

I for one will be very upset if Carl Cort has to retire from football,

www.carlcort.net is gonna be worth nowt

Micheal Bridges has been lined up as the long term replacement in the treatment room.

Your concern for Paul Ferris did actually occur to me Rik. But I reckoned as a Club employee he learn to STFU on stories like this.
If it's untrue, then he's a sad dickhead: if it's true he deserves to be fired for blabbing such a story all over the North- East.
