Sure does look like a sunflower to me. Does anyone know what kind? Is there another perennial sunflower that looks like that? If so, I don't know about it, but would love to grow it!

I'm not real familiar with mums ~ could it be one? Or is it actually a sunflower? Go here for Rita's original post about it.

It looks like a mum-daisy. In a book I have, they list a variety called "Sombrero", it has 3-5 inch flowers, bright lemon yellow, with good sprays and it is a perennial.

Hard to see the leaves, but they don't look like sumflower leaves. From what I can see, they look more like mum leaves than daisy.

Pyrethrum of some sort, in my opinion -- not from Zone 3, though!!!

This looks like some sort of an open form Chrysanthemum to me (Daisies are members of the same family), and the leaf in question looks like a leather-leaf fern that has been added to the bouquet.
