greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi all, I have an All in Wonder 128 pro card installed in my pc. Can I play a DVD with my present 52x CDROM since have seen a Digitial VCR and DVD player supported by ATI or should I still have to have a DVC player in my pc.

Thanks in advance for you favourable reply.

You will need a DVD drive in your PC in order to be able to play DVDs.

You indeed need a DVD-ROM drive to play DVDs on your PC, but your problems may just be starting if that's your main aim. The pukey thing about current DVD-ROM drives are that they are region-locked and all, and to open this Pandora's box further, I suggest you visit http://www.inmatrix.com/ for things DVD on a PC.
