WOCD Photo Album format - inserting extra jpgs

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

OK, this is a new take on things. I have had a lot of success with the Photo Album option in WOCD, yes the backing music doesnt always work, but I am sure DVD players will catch up, also WOCD offers the best control over the format, better than Nero. Right now, the photo album will play on DVD & VCD players and as an HTML page on your PC, so it is somewhat cross platform, but you cant access the photos in their original form from the finalized VCD. What about storage of the actual jpgs in their original form on the VCD as well, that way if you wanted, you can still get access to the files and drag and drop them off the VCD, but still have many options for viewing them. My question is, could you force another dir into the structure filled with the jpgs, or use one of the existing folders for them.

why dont you just drag the jpegs out from the directory where the html code is written to?

That could be possible, but somehow I dont think thats an easy soln, but then again, i dont know much about html. Also, those pics would have ben resized to VCD spec. therefore would be lower rez and size than the original input files.

The .jpg files still do have the original resolution, therefor there is no los in quality. The only disadvantage of the stored .jpg's is that they are renamed and sequentially numbered. It's IMO a small disadvantage.
