yeast question : LUSENET : FAQ : One Thread

I have been baking bread in my machine. I recently purchased a different type of yeast than I am accustomed to using. The recipe calls for 2 tsp. of active dry yeast. The kind of yeast I have is "instant active dry yeast" made by red star. Is these a difference? Does anyone know a conversion rate? I was trying to save money by buying in bulk. Does anyone have any tips on bulk yeast purchases? Thanks!
