Yellow borders

Hello,

recently, i did some local toning using the Kodak sepia toner. I ended often with a yellow color on my border where i didn't apply the photo frisket to protect the image from the bleach. What is it, bad fixing or washing? Also, can i still use the toner or is it contaminated by the old fixer still present in the paper?

Thanks!

I think the problem is improper fixing. It happened to me once when I refixed after slfide bath (don't ask me why i did that!). You don't do that, do you?

Wash Wash Wash. Also, buy a bottle of Heico Permawash to aid in washing and conserve on water. I normally wash for 5 minutes with tap water/5 minutes with Permawash/15 minutes with tap water (I used Fiber Based paper).

Hope this helps.
