EOS-300/Rebel 2000 ....how to set aperture to infinity

i have this EOS 300 with the 28-80 f/3.5 - 5.6 EFlens that comes with the body (Kit)...i have not been able to figure out how to set aperture to infinity.....anyone here could help ????

Take the lens off! Then look at the aperture displayed in the viewfinder. It'll be double zeros. That's as close as you can get to an infinity aperture.

Seriously, what do you mean by setting the aperture to infinity? The aperture on that lens can only go from f/3.5 to f/27 (or something like that).

The only thing ever set to infinity on a lens is the focusing distance, and you just set the lens focus switch to MF and turn the little focus ring for that. Of course you can do it in AF mode as well. Just point it at some distant object and press the shutter.

There's something I'm failing to understand in your question.
