?s about Luka's family *SPOILERS*

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

I have a question about Luka's loss of his family. A while back (I don't remember the ep or even if it was this season), when Kerry had call Youth Services about the older brother who was caring for his developmentally disabled younger brother and Youth Services separated the boys, Luka, furious with Kerry, said something like, "Families should never be separated. My family was separated from me, and then they were killed." Doesn't that seem to contradict last night's revelation? Or am I missing some other info? Or am I remembering that previous episode incorrectly?

Chris, thats Season Six "Family Matters" and he does tell Kerry that his family was taken from him and later killed... just a continuity problem I guess. I have a question along the same lines. Is it me, or did Luka's wife keep asking where "Michael" was last night (during "The Crossing"). We know from "Match Made in Heaven" (Season Six) that his kids names were Jasna and Marco, and his wife is Daniella. Could someone please translate for us what Luka and Daniella were saying in the flashback scene!?

About Luka's son's name, maybe the accent threw you off a bit. Luka's wife was definitely calling "Marko", not "Michael."

I don't think that the continuity is as bad as we think it is. For example, Luka tells Kerry his family was taken and killed. According to some people's interpretation this is what happened. No, his family wasn't taken away by armed guards but they were taken away by the war. I think that the Luka has been so vague as to what happened to his family and by only giving out certain details the flashback scenes that we saw do seem to fit in with the rest of story (at least IMO).

Regarding Luka's and Danijela's conversation, as far as I remember, after Luka entered the room, he picked her up and asked "Where did it hit you?", but she just kept asking "Where is Marko, where is my baby?". Luka told her "Lay down and stay still!", and then he kept calling out "Is there anybody who can help us?"

In the closed captioning, she was calling "Marko."

Okay I must have missed it, where was the spoiler in this thread. And just to add my opinion I think Luka meant that his family was taken as in killed-taken. It makes more sense because if they were just taken he might not feel the same guilt as when he should have brought Danijela( Iam spelling it that way because I believe the person whos name I forget who speaks tha language.)to the hospital

I said in another thread that I think Luca feels God took them.I think he was a deeply religious man who prayed to God to save them and felt that God could intervene.Instead God choose to Take them..It helps to explain his turning away from God.

The spoiler was about the Season 6 episode. Some of the folks on this board don't get the episodes until much, much later that we do in the U.S. I wasn't sure how recent that "Family Matters" epi was, so I played it safe.

I've been taking a class the past two months and not coming here as much as I did before, so maybe some things have changed regarding spoilers. I've never posted a spoiler to a thread that had information about an epi that had already aired in the U.S., this or last season. The people who come to this site and who live in places where the epis haven't aired yet know they've aired here and are being discussed. It just seems silly to put spoiler on a thread that has no revelation about a future epi.

Short, simple answer: If it has aired, it ain't a spoiler.
