Walnut head family portrait

Something fun for elementary age kids to do: A family portrait using halves of walnut shells for the heads. Kids take empty walnut shells, and construction paper and fabric and glue, color, and paint, and use yarn for hair. Use your imagination! Mom still has the "family portrait" I did for her when I was 7 or 8 years old. This can keep the kids busy for at least one afternoon! Of course, you can use whatever found objects and materials you like. The more creative the better.

The stoner years?

And a pet rock for the dog?

[ah, remembering those golden days of youth.....]
