Frugal Crafting

when I am doing crafty projects, I try to find things from nature, or from garage sales, or from every day items. I try to be creative, and although crafts usually cost an initial sum, you can make alot of them for pennies.

One year, I got some pretty white birch twigs, and cut them in about 4-5 inch pieces, tied jute cord around one end, and made a loop, and tied the other end....secured the knots with hot glue, and it was a minature wood pile really cute Idea. I hung them on the Christmas tree.

We have a couple of pink lawn flamingoes. Last year I took some old Christmas greenery swags and carefully wrapped them around the birds, leaving only the beaks showing. A bright red bow around each neck completed the pair of seasonal lawn ornaments.

My latest frugal craft was to take the old beige loo, removed from Sweetie's bathroom, and put it on the front yard (complete with oak seat), where it houses a large pot of pansies in the bowl and a small sedum sitting on the tank top. It's surrounded by other potted plants and makes me smile every time I see it. It's a dramatic new focal point for the exterior, lol!

LOL the LOO!!!!

there was a story on the news here, that someone did just that...and the town got on the people and they had to remove the toilet!

Can you take a picture of it?

They had to lose their LOO? It must have been one of those new subdivisions with the restrictive covenants. I suppose I should take a couple of photos of it before someone gets offended.

Well, you know how it is with some people. They get flushed with embarassment when they see a loo outside.

I remember a time when I was using the outhouse, and when I was finished bending over to reach my pants. My head hit the door and it swung open.

Just had to happen when a carload of family was pulling up!
