Playing VCD's on DVD players by-passing PBC function

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

When playing a VCD music video on a multi-stack DVD player the PBC function will automatically engage. Is there any way you can fix this problem without having to manually select the first track to by-pass the PBC. We use CeQuadrant Video Pack V4.0. Is there anywhere in the software that you can select to disengage the PBC when playing discs in the player?

it depends on your dvd player. Without putting in a disc use your dvd remote to access the machoines options and it may be there for you to shut off. the pioneer 525 offers this

This SVCDs have only one Menu Point. It`s PBC on or Off. With pressing the Menu button on your Controller, you can change this option and with one, the SVCD will run uncomplicated!
