MPEG2 format to a VCD from Archive.org

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

The web site www.archive.org has old "Public Service Announcement" videos that I'd like to burn to a CD to play on my DVD player. They are encoded in MPEG2 format and I'm having trouble putting them on a disk. Nero always refuses it, and I even tried downgrading it to AVI then to MPEG1. Still no good. Any ideas? Has anyone tried to use movies from their site? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Answers

why don't you just make it an SVCD?

and why would you need to go to .avi then to .mpg?
