HOW WAS HIS UNCONVENTIAL CHILDHOOD AND BRINGING UPS REFLECTED IN HIS SHORT STORIES
-- Anonymous, February 21, 2001
Poe's reflects his life on his stories and his childhood like in the story "The Raven" he saw a raven the day he wrote the book. I have no clue why he does that but to me it makes his story's and poetry more interesting. Sorry if I didn't help you.

Just a brief comment... something which strikes me as quite important here...The Raven is neither a story nor a book.... it is a poem, and, quite frankly, Poe would be horrified (though secretly delighted at the same time) that such a basic error could be made by one who claims to know about Poe's work.
Sincerely,

Look, Poe was a dude that got his mom, step mom, first love and his first wife killed by Turburcolosis. Poe's life was a hell hole and there for he wrote about that sort of stuff. Duuuuu
