I'ts all gone quiet........

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just on the outside chance that anyone will miss me I will be gone for a little while. I do not know how long. I will be lurking, but will not have much time for anything else.

Mrs gus had a check up the other day and the Dr. found some lumps where lumps should not be.

I told Mrs gus to ask an expert, but she said she would not let Gav near her!

Over the next week or so I will be spending all my time with her until we can sort this out one way or another.

I will be (hopefully) still entering the comps ITK and Geordie but probably not much more.

Very sorry to hear this news Gus, it must be a very worrying time for you both. I will drop you an E Mail very soon.

Keep your chin up, both of you, and lets hope that whatever it is, is soon sorted and you are both back to your usual blistering selves.

Love to Sue and best wishes from all the ITK household.

Oh Gus, I`m so sorry. This is bound to be a difficult couple of weeks for you, and my thoughts are with you both. You may feel useless, but your supporting role is crucial, so look after yourself too. Finger crossed that Sue`s problems are quickly sorted and you can both relax again.

Chin up gus! try and be positive at every turn mate, it's not always as bad as it sounds when lumps are announced....

Good luck to you both....

gus, in an attempt to cheer you up; did you notice Screacher's Freudian slip?

-- Anonymous, February 21, 2001

Fingers crossed for you both. Hopefully it'll turn out to be nothing...my wife's had to have lumps investigated twice, which were thankfully nothing to worry about. Doesn't stop you worrying though...

Thinking of you and Mrs Gus. Gan canny.

Solidarity, brother. Thoughts, knots, crossed fingers and all that.

We'll be thinking of you both, especialy Mrs Gus. Mrs True had similar investigations and all was OK. Best wishes,

It always upsets me when this kind of worry hits good people . Here's hoping for a happy outcome for Mrs Gus , all the best marra .

Sue, it's a horrible feeling - I've also been through something like it three times now, benign each time. I know you can't relax until it's been thoroughly checked and you get the all clear but these lumps really are more common than most people think.

Alan and I will be thinking of you both...our 16 year old Claudia sends her best wishes too.

All the very best. Look forward to meeting you both when we're over one day.

For someone who is going away I have been here more today than ever!

Yes Bud, I had a little laugh. However I think that it is an Aussie term!!

Whilst Mrs gus would be aghast at me telling the world her medical history, we have been through this before also.

Last time they turned out to be cysts. This is, she has been told is different type of lump.

Tomorrow will tell as we are going to have the tests, I say we as I am going with her. The reason I will be absent is not too bad, I normally spend from 2000 to 2200 on here. I will be spending that time with her. I am not a pessemistic person, however I believe in being prepared for the worst.

Hope to be back soon with good news. I will let you know either way.
