Sprint chemicals playing nice with Kodak chemicals?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

Under the advice of this group, I went out to get some HCA. I have bought Sprint Archive Fixer Remover. I am using D-76, Kodak Fixer and Photo-flo for my films. Does anyone know of any problems with this setup? Does the Sprint chemicals play nice or should I not use it with my (mostly) Kodak setup?

I've been using Sprint stop, Fix and Fix remover with Dektol and LPD for quite some time. No problems at all. BTW, Sprint sells a D-76 equivalent thats easy to use with similar results.

I agree. I have used Sprint chemicals in combination with Ilford, Kodak & Agfa chemistry, and have had no problems.

They work fine with ALL chemistries. As you know, the nice part of Sprint is the small, very little odor with the fixer and the odor of the stop bath is vanilla... the down side... well the smell of vanilla usually makes me more hungry! :) On another note, Heico Permawash tends to do a better job than any other clearing agent.

Thank you all for your answers. I'm still quite the beginner at this! Under advice of this group, I plan on committing myself to learning one film/one developer for an extended time. For now, I have committed to using Tri-X. I was just trying to figure out the chemical end!
