Build a Paddle Wheel Boat

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

Mark Twain would be proud (or aghast) to see the two teams build paddle wheeler boats (side wheel or stern wheel) and then race on whatever local waterway is handy. They wouldn't have to be powered by steam, any type of engine or motor (or hand power?) would do.

actually, this is some to think about if one is using a converted Land Rover in the water. either a set of paddles bolted to the outside of the drive wheels, or replace the tire with paddles if it's being used in the water only.

change it up a bit by making it a vehical that must first be driven to the waters edge and then be able to cross a strech of water.ther could be several ways to go about it.the result would be two crazy looking vehicals, alot of noise building them and hopfully one of them sunk to the bottem
