BBS Corinthian League RIP

Only had 25 teams entered for the 40 places (reduced from 48 last season). Best let it die quietly but thanks for the laughs.

RIP BBSCL. (virtual single red rose here).

Thanks for your time Softie- it was a great idea. Le BBSCL est mort. Vive le BBSCL!

Surely you'd be able to run it with 25 teams?

I know I'm one of the guilty ones that didn't enter a team (lazy and it required more time to think about it than I had) but I'd hate to think that my laziness helped kill it off when so many others enjoy it!!

Thanks for all your time and effort, Softie. It was lots of fun!

That's an attempt at a black (errr...and white) armband. ;-)

Only problem was that with 15/40 teams being ringers, there really wouldn't have been the same sort of rivalry. I could just re-enter everyone who was in it before but that kind of makes a mockery of asking people if they want to be in it any more. Just let her slip away, I reckon, though I spent days sorting out the formatting to speed the thing up....took so long perfecting it that I missed the boat.

So the cabinet at Trophyless Park will remain empty of silverware, but full of memories nonetheless...thanks for all your efforts Softie.

Don't bury it yet Softie!!

Perhaps it is better as an "Off" season game. More time on peoples hands then.

Softie, Thanks for the memories. I for one thoroughly enjoyed the league. I thank you for your time and effort (and I know how much time and effort it takes). Should the league surface again, please send me an invite. It was a blast, even though I had a sh!t team, at least they tried ;-))

I'd second gus. There's too much real stress and pain during the footy season to concentrate on the BBSCL. I think it's the best comp going and it would keep things alive on here during the long footie-less summer.

PS Rumours of the Blaydon Racers financial problems are entirely accurate but we'd be ready in May to welcome teams back to the Parc de Pints.

I must have missed the call to submit a team!

Thanks for the efforts Softie. Best fun I've had with my socks on. :o))
