While looking at www.burpee.com and looking at the seeds and reading about the gardening tips it has me wanting to start tilling. Although it is too wet here in Missouri now. Is anyone else ready but the grounds not?

We are starting to warm a little, but if the rain doesn't ease up, my seedlings will be "hydroponic" when I get them out to the garden.

I am so ready for spring! The snow has melted enough where I can see where the garden is...but it's still bitterly cold. I did buy some seed last week but it's more of a prayer than a hope at this point. I won't be able to plant until at least the end of April, our area is notorious for late spring snow storms. Until then I'll have to get my "fix" by looking at seed catalogs.

Believe me, I'm really need to get back my gardening mojo as well! I'm in zone 5, upstate NY. I started my chive seeds indoors. All my seeds are on order. I'm about to place my herb plant order from Richter's. It is cold here and we still have a bit of snow.

And here I thought I was the only one with "Green Fever!!" It's a beautiful day here in EC Illinois - about 45 and lots of sunshine and some wind to help dry out the ground. 'Course we're supposed to have rain changing to snow in a couple of days..........

I went out and cut some pussy willow and forsythia branches today. I had taken a jar of them to work to put in the nurses station a couple of nights ago (I wanna see green and I want to see it NOW!) - everyone is hoping they take root so they can take some home - don't think I have enough for 15 people though!

The moon phase and sign are right on Saturday to start some above ground crops, so I will be starting seedlings of tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, peppers and some herbs inside. If it doesn't snow, I may sneak out and pop some radish seeds in the garden. I thought about starting some spinach, chard and lettuce inside to transplant, but think it would probably do better direct seeded as it is often too muddy - even in my raised beds - to transplant early. Way too muddy now to haul manure or wood chips by truck, so I guess I will have to content myself with cleaning out Bun's hutch and wheelbarrowing it across the yard. I guess if it does snow I can content my self with making some seed tapes as described in the other posts.

We have alot of snow yet, here in Wisconsin. We were spoiled with some mild winter's and i forgot how rough it can be. It will be many weeks before the ground is near ready. See your are not the lone gardener after all. Hope you can feed your gardening soul soon.

I spent the day outside piddlin' around. Trimmed up some cedar trees around the pond. Raked leaves off two flower beds and scattered seeds for johnny-jump-ups, poppies, pansies and nasturtiums. Tomorrow hope to plant sweet peas and set out some roses. Hubby is working on my deck...YEAH!!! We are supposed to have cold weather the second half of the week, but it can't last long. The tulips and hyacinths are up about 2 inches and the narcissus[sp?] and jonquils will be blooming within a fortnight. The geese are flying north and life is good!

I live in N.Ga. The weather here has been spring like. Flowers and trees blooming. I could not stand it any longer and went ahead and planted Cabbage and brocolli plants. I also planted 4 kinds of lettuce,brocoli(seed),celery, carrots and snow peas. I am starting my tomatoes and peppers in the house in the next day or 2. Hammer
