Bill Clinton's Brother Is Arrested

HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Roger Clinton, the younger half-brother of former President Clinton (news - web sites), was arrested for investigation of drunken driving, police said Sunday.

Clinton, 44, was arrested early Saturday after an officer spotted him driving erratically through this oceanside town, according to a news statement.

The officer stopped Clinton's Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle and smelled alcohol on the driver's breath, according to police.

Clinton failed a balance and coordination test and was taken to the Hermosa Beach City jail for a breath test, which he failed, the statement said. Police did not immediately release the estimated alcohol level.

Clinton, who lives in nearby Torrance, was released Saturday morning on his own recognizance. He was not required to post bail.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in Los Angeles County Superior Court April 2.

Clinton was pardoned Jan. 20 by his brother for a 1985 drug conviction. He had pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to distribute a single gram of cocaine and served more than a year in prison.

Bill Clinton later described the drug prosecution as ``the best thing that ever happened'' to his brother.

Hermosa Beach is 18 miles south of Los Angeles.

Thanks for that extra public info. Even though thousands of people are charged with drunken driving every night, including Dumbya, I'm sure we can prove something very sinister about this since it is Clinton's brother.

I heard that Chelsea Clinton took a hit on a joint at a fraternity party at Stanford. Isn't that a felony for the daughter of an ex-president to do that? I think it is, it should be investigated.

Don't worry, it will only cost the taxpayers a measly $25 million for me and my Republican attorney friends to check it out. A bargain compared to Monicagate and what Mary Jo White is planning to spend on the Marc Rich probe.
