McCombs

McCombs is getting very impatient, may start looking. A nasty court battle will be brewing soon. Glen Taylor has been sniffing around, wants to buy if things get too hot for Red.

I've always liked McCombs rah rah spirit but I've never really "trusted" him at the helm of the ship. (Does anyone?) I don't know much about Glen Taylor other than he owns the T-Wolves and and that he fell $30 million short in his bid for the Vikes a few years back. I couldn't care less about the NBA and therefore have no idea what kind of owner he is. Anybody here have an opinion of him?

I like Glenn Taylor, I think he is a class owner who want to win. He would make a great owner for the Vikes.

You know, I always thought that Red wanted to win. Thought that's why he had bought the Vikings. It just doesn't seem like it this year with the way he is letting Green run the program into the ground and ticking off all of the players. I'm just hoping that something good happens soon, I'm running out of beer in my town to help me to handle all of this. LOL

First of all we must realize that McCombs is a business man. Money comes first. I think most of us would feel the same as McCombs when we see new facilities being erected throughout the NFL. The Vikes are far from reaching their potential economically speaking. I think if a new stadium is built there won't be a threat of the Vikes' leaving. Think about this.... If the Vikes do manage to leave, the fans will demand a new franchise just as Cleveland, Houston, St. Louis Baltimore, etc. In order to get a new franchise a new stadium will have to be built. So, why not go ahead and do it now with a nucleus of quality players rather than later with rejects from other teams. We can do it now or do it later. Glen Taylor would make an excellent owner. He is a good person all around. I think in due time he too would want a new stadium.

A patrnership with the Gophers is their best chance. Either that or Red will have to put more money into it if not all, which won't happen. I don't trust him either. Let's face it he did'nt become a billionaire because he's stupid. Glen taylor is a good owner and a goo
