Federal Survey on Records Management Practicesgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Federal Information and Records Managers Council : One Thread
Dear Records Officer or Records Liaison:
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is conducting a survey of federal records officers, like yourself, to gather information concerning records management practices within federal agencies. NARA has asked my company, SRA International, Inc., an independent consulting firm, to conduct the survey.
Your views and perceptions relating to the creation, maintenance, use, and disposition of Federal records in your work environment are very important because you have experience with and/or knowledge about the records management process. NARA is currently evaluating a number of strategies for improving the records management program and your opinions are essential to help them understand what aspects of the records management process are working and what needs to be changed.
* Your answers will be kept strictly confidential and will be combined with others in summary reports. You are not asked to provide your name, social security number, or other identifiers on the survey and results will not be linked to individual persons.
* The survey should take you about 15 minutes to complete. To participate in the survey, please go to the following URL
and enter the following password: recordkeeping
Please allow yourself 15 minutes to complete the online survey because once you begin the survey you cannot save your results. Should you decide to exit before completing the survey and come back at a later time, you will have to start over from the beginning.
* You can help improve the records management process by participating in the survey. We know you are busy and have many pressures on your time. But your input on this survey is essential. Please take time to complete the survey now!
We expect to make preliminary survey findings available by Summer 2001. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please call me at 703/558-4731.
Thanks again for your assistance.
