End Credits for "Walk in the Woods"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread

Hi, I run the ER episode guide at www.epguides.com. We compile a list of the actors who were in each episode to go along with the summary. However, my local NBC station did not air any end credits. Can somebody please make a quick list of actors and the characters they played for me? If anybody is willing to do me this huge favor, you can either post here, or e-mail me. Thanks ever so much!!

I know that one of Kim's friends was Megan Follows, Anne from Anne of Green Gables. I was very disturbed by the fact that they turned "Anne" into a lesbian!

yep, that was Megan Follows. The list should actually be pretty short...probably only the people who interviewed w/Benton, Coburn & Romano. Oh yeah, and Pickman & Olbes.

The Anne/lesbian thing might have been a play on a theory by an RMC (Royal Military College of Canada) English prof who said that Anne was actually a lesbian, but married Gilbert because of traditional social conventions. I think it's a load of bull, but really, there's nothing much for anyone over 25 to do in Kingston, Ontario! But I don't know of TPTB knew about that

That is a bunch of bull! I can't believe that someone actually thought of that! That's stupid!

You are offended because the actress who once played Anne of Green Gables is now playing a lesbian?

This is exactly why it is important for stories like this one to be out there. Something has to combat the sort of ignorance that equates homosexuality with something unwholesome.

After "Star Trek" The Next Generation" ended, Patrick Stewart (a Shakespearean actor who had played Captain Picard) was in the movie "Jeffrey" playing a gay man. Reporters asked Stewart if he were gay, and he replied, "No, I'm not gay, and I'm not a starship captain, and I'm not a king. I'm an actor."

Why is it that some local NBC stations (mine in paticular) feel the need to either skip the credits or only show a little bit and then go right to the news? I can understand it if there was some major thing happeneing, like there's some flooding around where I am because it has been raining for the past 5 days now so that was a good reason. But most of the time there's no big story happenning so why can't they wait an extra minute so we can see who the guest stars, writers, and so on were?

I'm sorry, I don't know the actors' names, but I did want to ask: aren't the stations legally obligated to show the credits?

I am so sick and tired of the homophobic commentary. STOP! I have to watch forever, the straights "Flaunt it" with their kissing and caressing. It's about time that they show professionals having feelings and lives with the same sex. It's real people, it exists everyday and it's been going on since the begining of time. It is nothing, nothing new! If the tv showed it like it really is in real life and people saw that it is real, and it was shown with dignity and respect then people would stop with their homophobic fears.

I loved watching Megan Follows in Anne of Green Gables AND on this episode of ER. I realize she played a kind of snotty character, but who cares? I also agree with the poster who objected to the concept that "Anne of Green Gables" can't play a (gasp) lesbian. It is a sexual preference and shouldn't be villainized. I sure hope the relationship continues.

What! Anne with an "E" gay! I have no problems with that, but on the other hand, who will Gilbert end up with. Not the first daughter of the Halifax family, or even worse Josie Pye.

As to Meg Follows, an excellent actress and wish she would have replaced my favourite Carol Hathaway instead of Abbie as Luka's love interest.
