You need to load in a DVD player (cyberlink power DVD etc...)and the codec will become available in media player and you will have no problems at all!!

I installed Cyberlink DVD for the codec to get WMP to play the SVCD but its unwatchable. I have a geforce2 with 32mb of ram, should it be this choppy? What am I missing? :P

I think the problem is that Media Player can't play DVD files smoothly. The solution is to play the DVD on a DVD player.

I also need the answer to the question; How do I get a damn SVCD to play on my computer (I only have WMP, but could get another app if one is recomened). Does anyone make a WMP coded for SVCD?

-thx

You can also try downloading an mpeg-2 codec from vcdhelp.com (tools section) This is only 100k but once installed u can play svcd in WM player.
