It Was Only a Dream

I had a really horrible nightmare this morning, but it was about such a stupid, unscary thing that it just sounds silly. I was scared to death, though. What was your least scary nightmare subject?

Believe it or not I had a dream about the two bandleaders whose contract I have not yet signed for our gala showing up at my office to talk about the contract -- and having to fold sweaters so that there would be someplace for them to sit!

Frogs. I had the most horrible nightmare about frogs chasing me and trying to bite me. I had this dream about 3 years ago and it still scares the hell out of me whenever I think about it.

Back when I worked in a pizzaria, I would dream all night about answering phones and taking orders and making pizzas and getting more and more behind. And if I had to get up during the night to use the bathroom, I'd just sit there trying to figure out how to get all my work done.

I had a dream that I was part of a Frank Stella painting from the period when he was painting a mainly black canvas, with thin white lines. It was like I was on an endless speeding toboggan ride around and around the painting, and I couldn't get out. It was the first time that I had ever taken Nyquil, and I had just struggled to stay awake through a modern art lecture. It was so unpleasant that I've basically tried to stay far away from all cold medicines ever since.

i once had a nightmare that contained the line "in the shadow of mt. erebus".

in the dream, it was so terrifying that i can still recall the feeling even now.

(for anyone who doesn't know, mt. erebus is a volcano in antartica)

I work at an art gallery that sells Japanese prints, and my manager has told me about her nightmares where she is inundated with prints and she has to sort them and they just keep coming! They are matted, the mats have sharp corners that keep poking her, and she can't keep up with the gigantic pile of prints that threatens her. I think if I were her I would have a serious problem making a career out of the job after a nightmare like that.

I dreamed that I was walking down some stone steps and when I saw a pair of man's dress shoes on one of the steps it struck fear into my heart! I have never forgotten it because it scared me so much for such a stupid reason!

The summer before I started college, I worked as an ice cream truck driver and had this dream where I was trapped in a walk-in freezer packed with banana fudgecicles (pronounced "fujjickles" for those of you who are not from NJ).
