We've been linked with this lad before haven't we? FALKIRK starlet Mark Kerr is being targeted by Premiership sides West Ham and Ipswich Town, but manager Alex Totten is demanding that the price must be right for his young hope. The Premiership duo, along with Celtic and Rangers, wanted to take the 18-year-old on trial, but Totten is opposed to the idea of the clubs being unwilling to take a risk by splashing out on the talented midfielder.

"West Ham and Ipswich wanted him for a week`s trials but neither Mark nor his father wanted that," explained Totten.

"I have been in management for more than 20 years and you don`t need to take players you know on trial to see how good they are.

"That is why clubs employ chief scouts. The Old Firm also wanted to take a look at him but Mark is happy playing here and did not want to go on trial."

Whichever club decides to take the plunge will win the chase for Kerr, as Totten admits that he would not stand in his way if the right offer was forthcoming.
