We should be thanful we don't support a team from Sheffield. Both teams in heavy debt with Div 1 status under threat. Jewell gets sacked after six months and Peter Shreeves takes over. United are having to sell big time to keep the club afloat (Woodhouse, Bent and Quinn sold recently).

If you were a fan of either team would you consider a merger? It has to be the only way in which this City can go forward in the football world. Sheffield City?

Different city though and both us and the mackems are in the premiership with gates of 52,000 and 48,000!

There's just as much rivalry in sheffield between the traditional have's (wednesday) and the have not's (blades)as there is in this part of the world. Perhaps if they both went out of buisiness and a brand new club started up in an out of city location, with no allegances then it could work.
