TSM never had any credibility lefy when he was in La Manga the night Celtic lost to Caley Thistle. All we need is a La Manga/Keiron Dyer world exclusive in the Scum on Sunday to just finish things off nicely.

Well Bobby is quoted in today's Times as saying the players are "out of their heads" if they think they're going to spend the week relaxing in the sun. If Bobby is a man of his word, the only Dyer stories I expect to hear is of him passing out from exhaustion by 6pm, along with the rest of the squad. Gotta take advantage of superior training conditions while they've got it. >:-)

MacB, you want to get yourself on the LondonMags mailing lists. The stuff being said about Barton would curl your hair. I did think of posting ot on here but I have this irrational fear that Warren may see it and it's really nasty. However, here is a sample: "sorry mate but never "wozza". As a player Barton may give a 100 % but that 100% is just not good enough - keegan may have payed 4.5 million for the bag of shite but if memory serves me correctly it was also keegan who realised he was shite and dumped him on the bench - it was jock-strap dogleash that reinstated him as our attacking playmaker in midfield - remember !!"

Just cos they are in London doesn't necessarily mean they can't see the truth :0)

Barton should perhaps be back up to Andy Griffin?

If a younger manager came in instead of Bobby Robson I reckon he would dump some of the 'seniors' and perhaps that's the problem BR thinks that being older and wiser is better than being youthfull and enthusiastic.

Didn't work for Gullit.

I think it didn't work for Gullit because of his general crap man- management and the fact that there was such a lot of sentimentality about our senior players at that time. I think most toon fans would now be happy to see a few heads roll if it meant progress.

That's true.

So La Manga offers:

Three superb championship Golf Courses.

18 Floodlit Davis Cup standard Tennis Courts.

Water sport centre based on the Mar Menor.

Equestrian Centre catering for all levels of ability.

They forgot to mention the donkeys. Hardly surprising as apparently they only flew in yesterday.

Dougal - they would have had better weather in Newcastle this afternoon. It was a glorious day, with loads of warm sunshine.

Lunchtime was ace, though it was sad to see Tom perv over the schoolies. At 57 he should know better.
