Does anyone ever get the remotest bit excited when we're awarded a corner?

Sorry to add to the gloom, but is there a poorer side in the Premiership at making anything out of set-pieces?

and a poorer side defnding them?

mind you, we are only ever consistently watching our team. I wonder what it would be like watching Man City?

Bradford?

They probably look great in training with our crap execution made to look good by even crapper defending

In practice matches at CLS, Harper's nearly made a mantra out of bawling "No free headers" every time they get a corner or free kick in the area.

Geordie i had a similiar thought last night .. walking along in the dark after leaving a ground 5 minutes early for the first time in years . Very contemplative , and i decided that the the reason the lads must look good in training is cos theyre all cr@p . Yesterday was truly depressing after a five hour drive in the p1ssin rain from Cardigan bay in Wales at 9.00 in the morning .. why do i friggin' bother , sooner im in Australia away from that sh1te the better .

sting,

it gets no better. just means you have to get up earlier/stay up later before work [5am on a monday for me] to find the same outcome...

welcome to the new world.....

Why does Aaron Hughes go up for corners? All this doea is leave Barton on the halfway line on his own, which surely can't be a good thing.

The alternative is having Barton up for the mighty leaping header...which he is famed for...obviously :-)

Besides, as many have said, Griff should be there in place of Barton

Aaron hughes scored quite a few goals with his head for the under 19s. I was suprised yesterday at how poor Solano's corners were. Perhaps this passport thing is getting to him? AND on that note, What do you make of CORDONE staying at home to play in the reserves? I see all passports will be scrutinised on return to the UK. Wonder if Cordone has a problem?

His girlfriend is due to give birth any day, plus Bobby thought match practice would do him more good than training.

Cordone's passport will be looked at even if he stays in the country.

Our defenders rarely threaten at corners.
