What do you do with all the machines you build on the show?

They are returned to the sea of scrap from which they came, and sometimes parts of one will show up in another machine later. The new season will be filmed in Cal. instead of London, so expect to see a new pile of goodies for the teams to work with. What is on TV now is the first season that was filmed.

Has anyone ever wanted to buy what the teams have made? If someone wanted to could they?

I think the liability if someone bought one of these things and then went out and got hurt would be tremendous. Even if a waiver was signed. When our shows were about to air in the states...someone from JYW said that the people at TLC were thinking about shipping "Hot Hazel" our boat, over to the states and then using it on various talk shows. Then they said we might get to keep her after that. It didn't work out. We found out that it cost $15,000. to send it here and they just couldn't spend that. Ours wasn't the only thing they wanted to bring over either.. I had visions of Art Attack cruising around in Humboldt bay with a cold chest of beer and bunch of wild freinds. Whaaaa! Oh well, 100 years from now, archeoligists will find a chunk of fiberglass with flames and teeth on it and think it was part of some junkyard ritual that was performed in the year 2001.......
