airport x-rays effect on digital camera memory cards

what is the effect by airport security devices (x-ray or other) on memory cards in you digital camera or in their carrying cases?

From experiment, I have found no discernable problems with taking memory cards through airport security. Xrays damage photographic film by adding energy to photochemicals allowing the same reactions to occur that light triggers. Digital media in general has a much more stable form of retention requiring a good bit more energy to change or damage.
