How to make a karaoke VCD from a .kar file?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have been searching the web and this website to find out if it is possible to make a karaoke VCD from a .kar or .mid format to play on my Shinco DVD player. I can download both .kar and .mid files. I can also play them on my computer using a karaoke, but the week old question is can I a karaoke VCD form them so I can play it on my dvd player.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Use Apple's Quicktime Pro to convert the .kar files either to Quicktime Movies or AVIs. Quicktime Pro can read the .kar files directly and convert them (for more details go to Apples homepage and read the tutorials!). After converting the .kar file you have to proceed with a AVI to MPEG converter to get the right format for VCD. You can use NERO for burning the VCD.

I hope that helps,

greetings,

Markus
