DAILY TOON PREDICTIONS COMPETITION

MATCH 27 – CHARLTON (away)

As we are all well aware, we lost out last week by having the game postponed at the last minute, but hopefully the weather in South East London will not prove to be quite so inclement and the televised game this Sunday will go ahead as planned.

Because Charlton have been in a lower division for six of the last seven years, we only have one LEAGUE result to go by. That was in the 98/99 season when we drew 2-2

So can we break the London voodoo, can we go to the Valley and win, will it be a draw or will we stutter to a Capital city loss once again?

Remember, due to last weekend's postponement, we've had a ten day break from games, they played last Saturday and also had a hard cup tie in midweek. Both matches were against Spurs, and report said the league match (Saturday) was a turgid, hard and battling 0-0 draw, then the cup game on Wednesday night saw Charlton take a 2-0 lead before going down 5-2 at the Valley.

Are they battered, are they bruised, are they there for the taking, or will we feel the backlash.

So what’s it gonna be this time round - Win, lose or draw, correct result and the goal scorer, go on, have a try, it doesn’t hurt, it doesn’t cost anything and most of all its harmless fun. Just post you prediction below and the system will automatically enter you into the game.

Closing time for the competition as usual is 15 minutes prior to kick off.

The results in the previous matches have been:

93/94No Match
94/95No Match
95/96No Match
96/97No Match
97/98No Match
98/99Draw 2-2
99/00No Match

Good luck everyone.

2-0 with goals from Lee and Acuna. Clean sheet because of heroic determation from Elena Marcelino.

Early goal for us then The Addicks to come back strongly with three in the second half (sound familiar?)

1-0, a really boring match which we win thanks to a Marcelino deflected shot.
