It's football Jim, but not as we know it

Just had the pleasure of watching the Old Firm game on the box. Pleasure added to by winning £80 on Celtic, but what a strange game.

Now it WASN'T a dirty game, definitely not as far as Old Firm games go. Despite that the raw statisctics at the end had 3-1 to Celtic, 2 (duboius) penalties, 11 bookings and three sending offs. And you have to say the referee took a fairly lenient view of things.

"Injury" time was just wonderful stuff. Celtic have a winger called Bobby Petta who is fleet of foot and has already taken Rangers apart once this year. He skips out of defence and Reyna goes after him lunging in (he's already been booked), Petta somehow manages to get away from him without going down so Reyna chases him and scissor tackles him from miles away, stands up and tries to look innocent. Milovcik, disagrees with his view and pushes him, Mols disagrees with his disagreement and shoves him, that delicate thing which is Neil Lennon runs in and hands off a Rangers player. Ref just systematically sends the first three off, but lets Lennon off, presumably cos of Shearer kicking him earlier. Great stuff.

As they had left the field at half time, Tugay and Lambert had a disagreement. Tugay is one of life's sadly misunderstanding (sic) Turks. Last week he was sent off at Aberdeen as he claimed an Aberdeen player insulted his recently deceased mother. He looked equally upset tonight. Bookings for both Lambert and Tugay, Tugay subbed at half time.

Sometimes you see forwards taking unbelievable stick from rough centre halves, tonight I don't think I've ever seen a player take as much physical punishment as Paul Lambert did, terrible some of it.

But at least we have four days to calm down before they start again at Parkhead. Rangers lose and Celtic are Champions, can see it being a rough game !!!!
